The Hellenic Medical Society of America (HMS) brings together physicians, scientists, healthcare professionals, students, and leaders of Hellenic heritage with a shared purpose: to advance medicine, expand knowledge, and strengthen the communities we serve.
Our mission is inspired by a tradition of medicine and discovery that has never been afraid to challenge what is known. From Asclepius and Hippocrates, whose ideas helped shape the foundations of medicine, to Dr. George Papanicolaou, whose groundbreaking work transformed cancer detection and continues to save countless lives, generations of Hellenic physicians and thinkers have pushed boundaries in pursuit of something greater.
That spirit continues to inspire us.
Through education and innovation, scholarships and mentorship, philanthropy, professional collaboration, and meaningful fellowship, HMS creates opportunities for today's medical community — and the generations that will follow — to learn, discover, connect, serve, and lead.
