The HMS awards scholarships at all levels of education, from High School to Physicians-in-Training. There are Merit-Based, Need-Based and Research-Based awards.
RESEARCH GRANTS AND AWARDS CRITERIA
To apply for Merit-Based Scholarships, applicants must:
- Be Graduate students, Residents or Fellows
- Research projects either in basic or clinical science in the field of medicine.
- Be HMS members at the time of application submission.
- Have demonstrated active involvement in HMS.
- Be of Hellenic descent with demonstrated involvement in the Greek community.
- Be residents of NY, NJ, CT, and matriculated in an academic institution in the United States.
To apply for Need-Based Scholarships, applicants must:
- Meet all of the above criteria and have a gross annual household/family income of less than $75,000.
